This is for beginning to advanced students and is customizable to each skill set. Students can learn how to center, open, and throw clay on the pottery wheel as well as various hand building techniques. Instruction will be given to craft such items as bowls, mugs, and vases. Students are encouraged to use open lab time to practice and finish projects. This ten-week class. Space is limited, sign up today!

Garnet Glaze
Garnet has been making pottery for 5 years and while she enjoys throwing on the wheel and hand building, her main interest is in altering the forms and surfaces of her pieces. Garnet, has earned a BA from Fort Lewis College in Psychology, and Studio Art emphasizing in sculpture and printmaking. She has experience teaching art at a charter school and a background in Art Therapy. Garnet can help you learn to throw your first piece and give it some character too.
