Basic Wire Wrapping Mar. 4 & 18
Learn the beautiful art of wire wrapping and create stunning jewelry that will catch the eye of all your friends. In this 2-day class, students will learn the basics of wire wrapping jewelry including measuring, binding, and multiple designing techniques. These skills create the foundation for making a variety of traditional structured pendants and earrings. During class time students will complete between 1-4 pieces of jewelry, depending on skill level. Various samples of wrapped jewelry will also be on display for students to refer and find inspiration. Feel free to take this fun class by yourself or come with friends.
Dates: 2-day class (see dates above)
Day: First and third Wednesday of the month
Times: 9 am–1 pm, or 1 pm–5 pm
Instructor: Dean Bennett
Campus location: Art Room
Materials: $25 materials fee, paid to instructor. This fee covers the cost of stones, wire for wrapping and instruction sheets. All other basic wire wrapping tools are provided during class time.
Student limit: 4 people
Policy: Students must preregister to attend class. 72-hour notice required for class cancelation and refund.

Dean has been collecting and using stones for jewelry all his adult life. He took a basic wire wrapping class more than a decade ago and since that time has advanced artistically with his own styles and techniques. He has taught numerous wrapping classes in northern Utah senior centers, at Gem Faire, and at the Pioneer Craft House. Dean's enjoys teaching and helping his students and encourages them to find and develop their own wrapping style.
