Overshot Weaving - Jan. 23
Learn the classic technique of Overshot! This weave structure has been used for everything from antique coverlets to modern tea towels and warm sweaters. It's the perfect class to take after our Beginning Weaving class.
In this 6-day class students will learn how to weave two shuttles together to make a fabric that combines two structures, plain weave and an extended twill that overlays or overshoots the plain weave. Students will also learn other methods to warp the loom, about new fibers, draft methods, and weaving Huck lace patterns (a new word to add to your weaving vocabulary).
