Come check out our new Beading Basics class! This craft has been around for what some say more than more than 70,000 years, and has played an essential role in jewelry making. Bring some of history to life and learn the basics of string beading and jewelry design.

During this 3-hour class students will learn:
  • Basic design structure with focal beads, accent beads, and filler beads.
  • How to use crimp beads and crimp pliers and how to properly finish a threaded creation.
  • Use of string wire and weights of wire
  • A basic wire wrap with a head pin to create a nicely finished earring or pendant.
  • Use of various pliers and tools.
  • Tips and tricks for beading success.

Students are invited to bring favorite beads of their own to use in the creation of a necklace, pair of earrings, and a bracelet. If you do not have your own beads, there will be some available for purchase during class. This course is perfect for beginners to intermediate level who want to learn or improve their skills in beading.
