    A coiled rope bowl is much like a coiled clay bowl but with more color choices and less mess. Start by covering cord with a patterned or textured fabric, then learn three different methods to coil them into bowls and baskets, choosing your favorite method to make a bowl to use in your home or to give as a gift.     Mosaics with a twist! Display these fused glass numbers proudly by your front door! Customize a durable, weatherproof panel, approx. 1' x 3', to match your home decor.     Introduction to Foil-Method Stained Glass
    Louis Tiffany is credited with developing the foil method of stained glass in the 19th centruy in order to add more detail to his beautiful stained glass creations. This class will teach you cutting, grinding, foiling, soldering and other Tiffany secrets to create a stained glass masterpiece of your own. Students must bring the following tools, 100W STAINED GLASS soldering iron, soldering iron stand, rheostat for solding iron, fid (burnisher), pistol grip-style glass cutter, oil for cutter, stained glass polish, 7/32 silver backed foil, scissors, rubber cement. Approx. cost $130. They can be purchased at Western Glass Art or Hobby Lobby, or order them from Kerry at a discount rate before the first class.

    This is one of our more popular classes, in the best-smelling, best-sounding studio on campus. Learn to bore, shape, sand, and finish a flute out of common and exotic woods. Adorn with wood burning, carvings, paints and stains, and more to make your work uniquely personalized. This is a great bonding experience for two people collaborating on their own design or working side-by-side to make an artful object that can be handed down for generations.     Tatting - See new times

    Tatting demonstration

    Level 1: A hands-on practicum for beginners. Starting with no prior knowledge and minimal supplies, learn definition, history, vocabulary, material preparation, chains, picots, rings, joins, pattern interpretation, basic formations (to include medallions, edgings and insertions), changing threads, ending techniques, cleaning, blocking, storing, and using lace. Complete eight individual pieces over an eight-week period. Course demands timely completion of homework. Materials provided.

    Ukrainian Eggs

    Ukrainian Eggs - Batik on Eggshell

    Learn a most beautiful craft with award-winning Pysanky artist Terry Lone. This Ukrainian folk art has been handed down through the generations for almost 2,000 years. Ukrainians believe that great powers are embodied in the egg, so that they bring good luck to the recipients when given as gifts, with each occasion having special symbols for specific wishes. Legend has it that as long as Pysanky are decorated, goodness will prevail over evil throughout the world. Experienced egg dyers, email Terry to arrange open class times. Age 12+

    Rag Rugs and Plastic Totes

    Rag rugs are all about nostalgia- under your old rocker or under the dog by the fireplace. Stir memories by dressing a loom, cutting and sewing your own colorful rags, and weaving a rug. Or step into the 21st century by weaving a tote from recycled plastic bags. Invent your own structure and patterns. Either project will give you experience on a floor loom. Beginning to advanced.     Monday Night Drop-In

    Open studio time for current students and intermediate weaving II students. Show 'n Tell, share stories and tips, weave, spin, or knit with friends. This is an opportunity to advance your loom skills with an individual project called Intermediate Weaving II, at the regular tuition of $150/8weeks.

    Individual Projects

    For experienced students. Develop your own studies in a supportive environment with other weavers. Rent a wide or multi-shaft loom and other studio equipment. Pre-requisite: Previous experience and Bhakti's approval. This is not a class and does not involve instruction, but help will be available.

    PCH has a few available table looms at a reasonable fee, including small looms for classroom or youth groups, plus warping boards and raddles to take home. Call Bhakti Banning at 801-671-6911 to arrange on case-by-case basis.

    Yard and Garden

    Garden Stepping Stones

    Make a decorative, personalized stepping stone for your flower or vegetable garden. Create a design with colorful pebbles or stamped impressions embedded in a concrete base. All materials provided to make one stepping stone, which will cure overnight and be picked up the following day. Age 14+

    Parties

    Customized parties from corporate retreats to your child's birthdays. We provide fun, easy-to-complete projects for all skills, such as decoupage, beadwork, bookbinding, stuffed teddy bears, knotted bags, vinyl bags, sun catchers, felting, t-shirts, Christmas gifts, and souvenirs for the guest of honor. Reservations required two weeks in advance, earlier if possible. Times available include evenings, after school, weekends. One adult per 5 children must be present.

    Cost: $125 for up to 8 participants and an additional $10 additional participants.
    Two-hour party with up to three activities for children. Activities are age-appropriate and modified for the time available to the participants. Additional fees may be required for more complicated crafts.
